Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one session without having to swap out devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. However, just a glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that need to be done like emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop that is high quality that cleans hard floors without using a pad. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice addition that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is simple to use and understand and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available and comes with many extra features that set it apart. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. robot vacuums reviews could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several functions that are not available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, sporting a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
